- Replace engine oil & filter
- Inspect exterior lights
- Inspect and set tire pressure
- Check coolant, battery, brake and washer fluids
- Lubricate all latches and hinges

TECH TIP: Regular oil changes are the best way to ensure longer engine life. If you frequently take short trips where a car doesn't always completely warm up, then oil changes are even more important because acid and moisture buildup does not have a chance to burn off.  Also, missing an oil change can cause an engine to develop sludge which can result in engine damage. Today's modern oils contain detergents and additives that are designed to protect against sludge formation, as engine problems caused by sludge (and lack of oil changes) are NOT covered by a new car warranty.

- Inspect drive belts
- Inspect vacuum, crankshaft ventilation hoses
- Inspect driveshaft and boots
- Rotate tires

TECH TIP: Tire rotation can be beneficial in several ways. When done at the recommended times, it can preserve balanced handling and traction and even out tire wear. Tire rotation can even provide performance advantages.  Tire rotation helps even out tire wear by allowing each tire to serve in as many of the vehicle's wheel positions as possible. While vehicles are typically equipped with four tires, usually the tires on the front axle need to accomplish very different tasks than the tires on the rear axle. Each wheel position can cause different wear rates and different types of tire wear. It is an advantage when all four tires wear together because as wear reduces a tire's tread depth, it allows all four tires to respond to the driver's input more quickly, maintains the handling and helps increase the tire's cornering traction.

- Service front brake pads, rotors and calipers
- Service rear brake linings and drums or pads, rotors and calipers

- Rotate tires

TECH TIP: Your car's braking system is a complex grouping of parts which serve a critical role in keeping you safe as no other system in your car is as important for safety. Keeping your brake system in tip-top shape should be a top priority.  Servicing brakes helps keep them clean of dirt, grime, salt and sludge which will enable them to last longer (by not seizing and wearing prematurely), but also increases fuel economy (by reducing brake drag), reduces rotor warping (by reducing heat) and helps keep your calipers covered under warranty.

- Inspect vapour hose and fuel filler cap
- Replace air filter
- Inspect drive belts
- Replace engine coolant
- Inspect manual transaxle fluid
- Inspect brake fluid

- Service rear brake lining and drums or pads, rotors and calipers
- Inspect exhaust system
- Inspect suspension
- Inspect steering box/rack and pinion, linkage and front end linkage

Your Service Passport will break down all the various warranty components, including roadside assistance, that come with every Hyundai.  With regards to maintaining your Hyundai, inside the booklet are several pages where you can keep track of all oil changes and regular recommended services completed over the life of vehicle.

Fortunately for us, Orangeville Hyundai's service department was built with the future in mind.  The same cannot be said for many Hyundai dealers, built in leaner times with smaller facilities, when vehicle sales did not call for service departments to meet today's demands.  In those stores getting a service appointment without having to wait upwards of 2 weeks can be an issue.  Booking an appointment at Orangeville Hyundai is rarely an issue, as we have more than enough space and several experienced technicians capable of accommodating multiple services simultaneously.
