Hyundai: What Is the Most Affordable SUV for 2026?

Hyundai is enjoying success in nearly everything it undertakes. The Korean automaker has shown that it is possible to succeed while embracing boldness and creativity. Each new generation starts from a blank slate, which makes its achievements even more impressive.

Developing new models can be particularly costly, a reality that is usually reflected in their pricing. However, this rule does not seem to apply to Hyundai, which continues to offer highly competitive pricing across much of its lineup. That brings us to today’s topic: the most affordable SUV the brand offers this year.

Perfect for Tight Budgets

It comes as no surprise that the most affordable SUV in Hyundai’s 2026 lineup is once again the Venue. Its starting price rises to $21,999, which is $700 more than last year. After destination and preparation fees, the total comes to $24,941, making it one of the most affordable SUVs on the market.

At that price, buyers receive a surprisingly generous list of standard features. The 2026 Venue includes an 8-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay—features that often come at an additional cost elsewhere.

Mechanically, the Venue is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. While output is modest, the setup aligns with the vehicle’s economical focus, delivering average fuel consumption of 7.9 L/100 km in the city and 6.9 L/100 km on the highway.

The Hyundai Venue is not only accessible for most buyers but also a genuinely appealing choice in its segment.
