A recall is when a manufacturer determines that a vehicle model (or several models) has a safety-related defect or does not comply with the government-related safety
standard. When this happens, the manufacturer will alert owners to the problem and usually offer a free repair. Keep in mind that a recall does not mean that the entire vehicle
will be replaced.
